Bargain Home That Comes In Ship Container

A Queensland company has been inundated with orders for it bargain homes that offers everything you could ever want for just over $58,000  but there’s a catch. The affordable two-bedroom home called The Valentine comes complete with all the mod cons but was designed with one very special key feature for homeowners.  This home is so special that it’s delivered in a shipping container and unfolded in less time than it takes most people to put together an IKEA cupboard.

Anembo Affordable Homes director Steve Murray told Daily Mail Australia folding homes have become increasingly popular because of their ease and affordability.  The $58,200 Valentine folding house is delivered in a shipping container and can be assembled in less than three hours.

In addition to the 60 square metres Valentine and Eirene models for $58,200, homeowners can opt for a 75 square metres house for $72,000 or a grand 120 square metres home for $89,000.  The basic two-bedder comes with 12 aluminium alloy windows, fly screens, one small bathroom window, fireproof security front door and plywood flooring.  Homeowners can choose either laminate or vinyl coverings. It comes with a full kitchen with cupboards, Caesar stone bench tops, and a fully equipped bathroom.  Mr Murray said everything from the flooring, to the skirting boards and cornices are included, plus engineering structural certifications to provide to local councils.  Power points, light switches and other essential fittings are also included. But it could cost up to $40,000 more if you require a licensed plumber and electrician.
